Franklin County Works

FranklinCountyWorks.com was created by the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation with help from many talented volunteers and was funded by grants from the Franklin County Area Development Corporation, the Franklin County Visitor’s Bureau, and the Greater Chambersburg 21st Century Partnership.  The portal allows you to search for employment or allows employers to post a job opening.

The Chamber Foundation is an intermediary for Franklin County and is part of the South Central Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board (SCWIB), a business-led board that provides the leadership and resources necessary to encourage a flourishing workforce.  The SCWIB stems from the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and other grant-funded programs.  The SCWIB provides the leadership necessary to develop, direct and promote a comprehensive network of resources and services for area businesses as well as adults and youth looking for employment.

The Chamber Foundation administers a Regional Career Education Partnership for the SCWIB that supports career exploration activities in the six Franklin County school districts. Other Chamber Foundation programs include Leadership Franklin County, Educator in the Workplace, Franklin County Student Career Expo, technology grants to educators, and workplace spanish training
